parasitic preemptive pondering

+   if you are certain that you will do nothing but hurt yourself or others with a soldering iron in your hand DO NOT BUY THESE! i can't really teach you how to solder via email so lets just draw a line right here. on the other side of that line if you have ever soldered anything at all and it worked then you're ready for these. the pads are kind of small though so practice on something before you jump in.

+  some assembly required - ( i finally get to say that! )  i'd say it will take you about 5 - 10 minutes max to finish your end of the assembly. very simple, wiring tutorials can be found HERE

if you have a bend that uses a potentiometer that is around 200k to 300k or smaller then the SHIVER will work well. if you have a bend using a potentiometer that around 700k to 800k then the QUIVER will work well.

running their power supplies at different voltages will alter the range of operation. 9vDC is recommended and yes you can run them from a wall wart, battery, solar panel, potato, etc... also they use very little current, for example 4 drenches only use 3ma so that means a 9vDC 200ma wall supply will power over 200 drenches at once!

each parasite has polarity reversal protection to keep it from being damaged by attaching the power source incorrectly

each parasite also has plenty of power filtering and decoupling so you are safe to use one single power supply to power many units. i will be updating the pages with the amperage (ma) required for each unit which is very very low anyway. you can then add up each amount and look for a supply that has any amount more then that total. for example if you have 20 units that are 1ma each then you can use a 9vDC supply with 20ma or any amperage higher then that like 300ma or 800ma. but of course be careful when handling the power source and i'm not responsible for you hurting yourself. i personally don't like using anything higher then 500ma for stuff like this and NEVER use touch contacts when powering something from the wall.

there is no over voltage protection so exceeding 15vDC will destroy most parasites!!!

all IC's are socket mounted to make potential replacement easy if something like over voltage does happen.

i would recommend that you use a 30w or higher iron ( 700 degrees F or higher ) and that you have a nice clean / sharp / fine tip on it. the pads are kind of small with this first batch, i'll make them a bit larger on the next run.

in most cases using larger pot values will do nothing but give you dead spots. ( except for the drench's dual 500k - see its pdf )

bending these will void the warranty but as you might expect doing so to some can give you cool results.

i will continue to add to this as things come up
