bent squarewave oscillator
and real analog ring modulator
::: SOLD
the top section is the passive ring mod (same as the
mingrod but no octave up) . left to right the connections
are carrier in, modulator in, and output. though the
input and outputs are interchangeable. made with hand
matched components for minimal signal bleed. being
passive, if you are to use a low level device like
a guitar, you will need to increase the volume somehow.
you can use a distortion pedal, mixer channel, booster
etc... line level devices yield the best results.
the bottom section is the bent square wave oscillator.
controls from left to right read: output, top switch
is power, middle is a pseudo ramp wave shape bend,
the lowest is a range extender bend, top knob is volume
and the lower is pitch. it has a very wide range, extending
from a slow square wave metronome click and rises up
beyond human hearing. it is capable of delivering CV
over a pretty limited range with the volume set to
about 9 o'clock. custom paint (with some tiny flaws
in the gloss), graphics are sort of abstract demon-like
mouths i think, prototype logo on the bottom of a turtle
with a swirl in the shell. aluminum enclosure. external
9v battery compartment. battery included.
the parallel design is completely patchable so that
you can use the two devices separately or together.
notice: devices capable of very high frequencies have
been known to destroy speakers and even to cause fires
if left running for an extended period of time. i can
not be held responsible for any damage done.
