this is a simple tilt switch used for manual muting but this particular switch is of horrible quality, the little ball inside the switch itself used to make the connection isn't heavy enough, so the slightest nudge and it will sound like a shorting cable, though one that is pretty much the same every time. works with AC and DC. this is what happens when you switch part brands after prototyping with the intention of stepping up quality

motion: with the blink in the standard table sitting position the motion to cause muting is vertical
