this is for production rights for the SOFTCORE. this gives you the right to manufacture the SOFTCORE however you see fit. there is a one time up front cost and then a 5% fee per device you sell for 5 years, after that its all yours. i reserve the right to manufacture circuits based on the SOFTCORE core

why am i selling the production rights for some of my circuits? because i'd really like to have them in production myself but i don't have the time or the money to do it. this way someone can buy the production rights for something and then go straight into kitchen table production, bypassing the all too troublesome design phase. you really don't even need that great of an understanding of electronics to get them running, just the ability to understand pcb or perf design, basic assembly, soldering and case design. the fun stuff. if you sell maybe 10 to 20 of one of these you can cover your circuit cost, after that its just parts cost and profit

this is an original analog design ( though inspired by the single bands of the korg P3100 filter ) with a few different things going on. the signal path flows like this - buffer - very high gain preamp with switchable clipping distortion - resonant bandpass filter with variable resonance that can self oscillate at higher frequencies and has an adjustable and switchable frequency range - variable heavy breakup distortion - and a violet ( or blue - i ran out ) level indicating led
